Picked up my new candy white roc today and I'm loving it. Unfortunately I had to go to work right after picking it up. Colleagues were excited and several times I was dragged to the parking lot to tell about the car. Looking out the window to the parking lot, I several times noticed people gathering around it to take peaks. After work I went to play golf so I got the chance to take it for a 90 km spin. Loved the ride even though it's a bit more noisy than I remember from the test drives. Ended the evening at a restaurant in the inner city of Copenhagen from where I could watch my parked roc. Again, lots of people taking peaks. Honestly hadn't thought so many people would be interested in a Volkswagen :) .

The RNS510 is absolutely fantastic and even though they haven't been played in yet, the Dynaudio sound is fabulous. The satnav is much better than expected and compared to other build-in standard satnavs, it's miles better. I'll be using the weekend to play with all the settings. So far the only thing annoying me, is the folding mirrors. I'd prefer to push a button instead of turning a knob. Minor thing, I know.

Pics are a bit crappy, but I'll probably try to take a few during the weekend with a bit of none-volkswagen-dealership scenery :)

Is it a roc van..? Aren't the yellow on the tag and the load info on the side for vans only?

How much is it Denmark?
Ridiculously exspensive in Norway as well. The 1.4 with only 122 bhp start at £29,000 (290,000NOK) The one with 160 bhp starts at just under £32,000. And the 2.0 starts at a whopping £41,000... :fall:

...and the worst thing actually is, that the same tax is on options. 180 % on non-van and 50 % on van. I hope to be able to afford to put in the rear seats some time next year, but it'll cost me in the area of 24K GBP in pure tax :no: .

Very nice indeed, especially like the de-badged rear. I have to agree how noisy the 'vans' are, it was a surprise to me too. Do you get a rattling on rough roads? I think it's caused by the lid that covers the tools in the back but can't quite seem to cure it.

I get some rattling from the floor lid too, but only on severe bumps. I'm not sure it's enough for me to try to fix it. Perhaps it helps me a bit that I'm mostly driving in Comfort mode. It actually does soften it up quit a bit. Besides, it honestly bothers me more than expected not having the rear seats, so I'll probably have them put in again as soon as I think I can afford it. Hopefully that'll make the rattling disappear.

Currently what worries me the most is, that I'm only doing a little more than 9 km/l and I don't think I've been stepping that hard on the throttle. I've done 800 km by now with about half being highway/motorway and I would have expected it to go well beyond 11 km/l. I guess I have to tab even lighter on the throttle to make that happen. Do you think I can expect the fuel economy to pick up or is your experience similar still?

I only found the rattle really annoying on a trip to moen recently on really rough roads, though as I don't have ACC/DCC I guess mine is rougher than the average. However, if I find a very easy solution I'll let you know just incase. It's just a huge shame you had to sacrifice those seats to bring the car back to an even slightly reasonable price, maybe given time you'll get used to it, I have. Just think you could have got a TT which may as well not have any back seats!

My average fuel consumption has gone over 10km/l with a real mix of motorways and city streets and I haven't been at all gentle on the throttle so hopefully you'll see signs of improvement. I tend to spend a lot of time with the car in 6th doing 60 which may be helping though.
