Hi all,
I'm looking at the Scirocco R for the replacement of our GTi Edition 30 next March.
Its a 3 door, and we have a 4 month old, and manage to get the Mamas and Papas Pliko Pram, and her rear facing baby seat in the rear, although its a shoe horm type fit to get her in the rear, due to the seats not coming too far forward!
Question is, has anyone gone from a 3 door golf to a roc with a baby and had problems?
I know the boot is a little smaller, and the lip is higher, but thats not too much of a put off for me and the mrs.
Our daugther will be just over a year old, when we get the car so I guess will be in a forward facing seat anyway, so it should in theory be mounted in the back permenant, so I think acess should then be better?
Any thoughts would be good!
Dave

I don't think a rear facing baby seat will fit too well in the back seats. They're quite heavily sculpted and the front seat may also get in the way - I don't think they have ISOFIX connections either. A forward facing baby seat may work but I'd suggest going into a garage and trying one before ordering!

I'm pretty sure the rear seats are isofix (they are in French spec)
However getting in and out of the back seats is a bit of a game, I would definitely try your seat in a car before buying, I think it may be somewhat tricky !

there are isofix points in the back, and to my mind it is easier to get into the Scirocco back than the GTi was, your real problem is the lack of boot space, you just wont get a modern pushchair into that boot.

Albertz is right, there are Isofix points in the back, i put a child seat in the back at the weekend and it fitted dead easy. My 4 year old nephew wasn't best pleased as vision from the back seat for small people is non existent! Perhaps you could get one of those folding push chairs that was on The Apprentice last week?!
