Goodbye Viper Green & Hello Black Editions.

Post by mikezero »

Just been on the VW configurator, new month, new Sciroccos, well the Black Edition line has been introduced, purely cosmetic though.

I also noticed that Viper Green as a colour choice has been withdrawn from all models of Scirocco. Will that colour become a collector's edition? Only time will tell!

Make no mistake; viper green has been dropped because it does not sell. I also suspect that anyone that has purchased a car in this colour will not find it easy to trade-in or sell-on.

I think it's one of those marmite colours, for the right buyer they will end up paying more for it as it will be rarer and harder to come by I wreckon. I really like it, and deliberately waited for the right colour option to come up as I didn't want to settle for anything sub what I had set my heart on. Time will tell I guess, but I think if u have the time to wait for the right buyer it shouldn't be a problem.

It's definitely a marmite - in the right light and conditions it can look striking and nice...but in general, for me it looks garish (yes - i hate marmite) .....but that maybe just because i'm getting old lol

No Viper Green is a game changer for me. After all, how else do you find your Rocco in a car park ?

Replace your two-tone with a train horn. You can find your car from a mile away! =)
