Wow. Didn't realise it took that long to get on a ship. Well I guess it'll most likely be 2 weeks now until I get my hands on it. Can't wait.

Spoke to VW today - still not on a ship. They have told me the next 2 ships are due to leave on 29th October and 5th November. I'm hoping mine will be on the earlier of the two (this would be in line with the 1 week time frame).

Sounds about right. Depending on where in the UK you live, the ship takes 3-6 days to arrive at the relevant port. There's 3 ports VW use.... Sheerness which is the most southern, Grimsby and then Tyne which is the most northern. Takes about 3 days to arrive at Sheerness and 5-6 to arrive at Tyne. Delays are common.

It'll be coming into Telford so I think Grimsby would be the most likely port. Hopefully there won't be too much of a delay if there is one.

Give customer services a ring after the next boat has left. You won't be able to get any information at weekends as the team which has all the useful information only work Monday to Friday.

That's the plan. I'm starting to feel like this has become an obsession lol

I experienced the same feeling! I got my car less than 2 weeks ago. I put some pics up in the showroom section.

I'm not the only one then - yeah I saw the pics. Looks good - I'm liking the red.

Cheers Rid, think the red is vibrant and really suits the roc. You haven't long to go, if you're anything like I was, I got the 'Christmas morning as a 10 year old' feeling when I finally got it. :D

Just a day or 2 to clear customs then gets assigned to a transporter. Some large chains like Inchcape will receive the cars earlier at their dealerships as far as I'm aware. It should be at your dealer by this time next week, no later than Friday.
