Hey guys! The Portuguese SciroccoClub started a petition to bring awareness about the defective products VW manufacturers.
We take this opportunity, that the media has its eyes on VW, to be heard. Our goal is not to be compensated by the damages, but to give awareness and promote change.
We are open for the discussion and thanks for your support.
Here is the link for the petition.

Re: VW Petition
Give awareness and promote change?
They are aware of what's happened and are going to be recalling cars to change them.
Sorry but What more do you want?

Re: VW Petition
We are not talking about the emission scandal, but mostly the defective 1.4 TSI engines and DSG gearboxes.

Re: VW Petition
I believe the petition is more about the long list of problems VW (and all VAG) cars have had world wide, with an emphasis on certain models/engines.
The diesel emissions scandal just being the latest, and the proverbial straw that broke the camels back.
The petition cites the 1.4 tsi twincharger engine and the 7 speed dsg gearbox as examples - which albeit have not been as troublesome in the UK due to lower purchase numbers of a non diesel engine, and the fact we are predominantly manual gearbox drivers. In other countries such as portugal they were sold in far greater numbers and hence the 1000's of failures were harder to sweep under the carpet. They were also far more prone to fail in warmer climates (hence the word 'volkswagen' now being a swear word in Australia)
I own a mk6 1.4 tsi twincharger with DSG - and have had 3 clutch packs and a mechatronics unit on my dsg 7 speed - and have had to go through the usual denial 'there's nothing wrong', 'they are all like that', 'we never had any problems with these before' streams of bullshit that come out of every VW dealership...with them only taking action once legal letters land on the doorstep of the head office.
So yes we should try and make people aware, and promote change - at least in their arrogant attitude that the customer is always to blame and is imagining things and every single car that the VAG group produces is perfect....when in reality they are far from it and have more lemons than a greengrocer.
