Alas, text this morning to say my order has been built and is in transit. If it was built overnight I just hope the guys who built it weren't half sleeping :D

Car currently waiting for a ship at Setubal. VW customer services said there was a ship that left a few days ago but it wasn't on that. There was supposed to be one today but it is delayed until tomorrow. It is called 'City of Paris'. I don't know if the car will get on that one either as customer services said it depends on capacity. Even then, it won't make it into Tyne port until next Wednesday.

You think it is quick? I'm thinking it is slow! Lol. Quite a few people on here have gone from 'built in transit' to 'arrived in the UK' in 7 days.

7 days from my build day and my car will still be in Setubal. Surprised that the ship takes 5 days.

I'm in Dundee but the dealer I'm using is in Ayr - 110 miles away. Will probably have them deliver to me. Free driven delivery... And it will be the salesman I'm dealing with who will drive it to me as far as I'm aware. At least I know he won't rev the crap out of it. Lol

It's a bit of a pain getting there and I need to save some annual leave from work for Christmas time. Just really impatient with all this waiting at ports and not making it on boats malarkey.
