Engine Fault Light - HELP!

Post by S8ndo »

Hi,

Was driving on the Motorway today when "Engine Fault Workshop" appeared on the display and the Engine management Light (coil) started flashing. Car continues to drive normally with no loss of power.

I have done a basic scan and the error shows as "01384 - Sensor 1 for Exhaust Temperature Bank 1 (G235) Circuit Malfunction P0544

Can anyone advise if they have had this issue or what part (part number) needs replacing?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried clearing the fault to see if it comes back?

Lots of info on it here : http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=355372" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; especially post 10. Looks like it Could be a faulty sensor that is stuck on a high value.
