Battery box

Post by waynevr6 »

Hi, just wondering if the plastic battery boxes were fitted as standard as my scirocco just has a padded cover.

My diesel also has a padded cover. I believe it depends on the model what is fitted.

Probably a silly question but is there any reason for this? If not I will buy one as they make the bay look tidier.

Probably because the diesel battery is larger and might not fit in the box

I have the TDi and I'm 99% sure mine has a box for the battery.

Edit: just check the photos I have on the phone here and this is my engine bay:

Hi Waynevr6, did you manage to get the cover at the end? If so, where did you get it?

I think mine is a box but without the cover? I only just realized it is missing... :/
