Flash Red or Candy White
Flash Red or Candy White
Hi Everyone, I'm possibly putting in an order for a 1.4 TSI next week and I have received an excellent offer through a dealer on CarWow.
However, I'm kid of torn between Flash Red and Candy White. I have a Flash Red Polo and think it is a great colour and really suits it. I have seen pics of the Scirocco in Flash Red and think it suits it really well too. I've been doing a lot of reading with regards to Scirocco colours and noticed that Flash Red has only been offered since the facelift last year? From what I was reading, most people felt Salsa Red wasn't bright enough. As Flash Red is a fairly new colour I was wondering what peoples thoughts were on it? I don't think I've seen a Flash Red Scirocco on the road yet....which brings me to Candy White...
Candy White is a very nice colour. However, it is very common and just today I saw a few Candy White Sciroccos within a few minutes of eachother. Another issue with white...I feel...is that there are so many white cars on the road and in car parks etc. The White Scirocco wouldn't stand out as much as the Flash Red colour would?
They're both great colours... I'm kind of edging towards Flash Red.
Opinions welcome

Well I have one in Flash Red and I think it looks lovely! By then I'm biased!
Re: Flash Red or Candy White
Hi Sumik, The Flash Red does (in my opinion) suit the Scirocco. I haven't read many opinions on this though as it's a fairly new colour unlike most of the other colours.

Well people seem to love the car in the red when they see it in the flesh. I don't think salesman had seen a scirocco in flash red before mine arrived. He said majority he was selling were in the White. So if you are considering the red why don't you go for it and be a bit different!

My 95 corrado is flash red and it's a great colour. My next scirocco might have to be too so that I have a matching pair
61 plate 2.0 TSI GT Rocco, 95 plate 2.9 VR6 Corrado
Re: Flash Red or Candy White
Thanks for a the input, I'm definitely swaying to red now... I think that because flash red is fairly new window on the Scirocco and is slightly more expensive than candy white (by £70) the white one will keep selling more and more. Flash red is definitely a great colour, certainly much brighter than the old salsa red colour.

Definitely Flash Red.
It'll look great & it's something a bit different.
Much as I like white ones, you're right about them being common.

"Flash red is fairly new window" What the.... I hate typing on phones!
Hi Griff, I'm probably going to order the Flash Red one tomorrow
Have you...or anyone else... Seen a Salsa Red and Flash Red on the road and can spot the colour difference? In the pics there appears to be a noticeable difference.

Yes I have seen Salsa Red whilst driving mine and quite a noticeable difference. Flash Red quite a bit brighter.
Re: Flash Red or Candy White
Has your Flash Red Scirocco been turning many heads Sumik? =)

Re: Flash Red or Candy White
which alloys do you have? I'm going to select the same alloys as in those pics - Interlagos.

It's got the Interlagos wheels. They look very nice. Although cleaned mine today I noticed a chip on one of front spokes!
Now looking on forum to try and find best way to touch up and repair it. Can hardly notice it but worried about it getting worse in winter! The stress of having nice alloy wheels!

Another few questions for you - how long did you have to wait for delivery and how long have you had your roc?

Re: Flash Red or Candy White
We are currently having the same debate in our house about colour choice.....
We are going to spec the Lisbon alloys, just to make the car look a bit different.
The Salsa red is similar to the old BMW Imola red colour, quite dark, and deep. It looked good on the old e46 3 series coupes but didnt suit the scirocco.
I'm swaying towards the Flash Red, but wife (who's car it will be) isn't a fan of red, thinks its too loud..

Not long at all, did you choose many extras?
