Two day megs microfibre polish detail

Post by 3t3p »

Spent the last couple of days polishing car; Valet pro snow foam, washed twice with chemical guys citrus wash and gloss at high concentration with microfibre mitt, iron removal compound (wolfs chemicals), tar removal (autoglym), clayed with rubber microfibre with optimum no rinse as lubricant, polished with Meguiars microfibre system on DA6 PRO, valet pro bilberry wheel cleaner, auto finesse power seal applied with DA, trim dressed with auto-finesse revive, tyres dressed autoglym tyre dressing, lights polished with meguiars Plastx, windows cleaned with er window cleaner.

Only got energy to do this once a year but very happy with the regime and will stick to it now. No more carnauba wax every 6 weeks unless for a quick top up/bit of warmth to finish, i'm all about synthetic polymers. AF Power seal is epic and lasts at least 6 months more like 9 giving very real protection. Visually its like adding another clearcoat layer!

Exhaust tips are impossible to clean (five yr old car), might just need new ones haha.

Meguiars microfibre polishing is a game changer, noobs like me can get very good results in a few hours. It makes minimal dust, doesn't sling every where, wipes away SO easily, polishes in one step with no hazing and is very safe 10/10.

3t3p..............glad I'm not the only one who spends that much time making their car look sweet (looks nice mate).

I spend that amount of time every 6 months doing mine and wash it nearly every week. My neighbours look at me like I'm some kind of OCD weirdo but deep down I know they wished their car looked as mint (they probably don't give a sh*t really!)

Someone in my street even suggested to me that I should offer to do others and get paid for it, not got the time!

Keep it shinning bud!

Finished work this morning and this made me smile.

Some gratuitous tweaking of photo but..Image

304 Stainless which is polished and think of it more like steel cotton wool as it's that soft almost.

Get autosol if you can for the polish or if you are cheap like me use toothpaste, it worked a treat. [emoji12]
