Driver and Passenger mirrors
When trying to set the position of the mirrors, when putting the knob to fix the drivers mirror (which is the left knob for us left driver seats) the right goes down as well! The passenger side mirror works just fine ... for some odd reason when fixing the drivers side mirror, the passenger gets adjusted aswell ... any information on this?

Hi
You'll need to set the drivers side first, then the passenger.
This is not a fault, for some reason VW think that if you adjust the drivers mirror, you want the passenger one to do the same.
When I got my golf, I found this really annoyng, but you soon get used to it.

There is a setting in the MFD under convenience I think which is called Mirror Adjust - yours will be set to Both - change it to Individually then the R will only change the Right hand side

It works opposite here in the UK however the idea behind it is the same - I find it useful for parking in tight spaces, much easier to lower both mirrors down at the same time and raise them back up - this way to hardly mess up your setup and avoid scuffing your nice alloys.NYHC wrote:hmm i never noticed this!

ps remember if it really annoys you that much you can always turn it off simples
