Just a bit of advice needed with the car stand at the GTI International meeting coming up.
I will have cleaned it inside and out the day before the drive and wanted to know how everyone else if going to keep their cars clean and what they will do once we get there?

Poor boys spray and wipe to clean it when I'm there follow by spray and gloss. A bag of those and microfibers (old and new) with tyre gel.
Pre show it's a full wash and wax including alloy polish and tucked in the garage for a day or so haha.

Re: Preparing for shows
Full clean in the days before I go to a show and don't drive it if possible. On show day a wipe down before I leave with something like Maguires Last Touch (to try to stop stuff sticking to the paint) then on arrival find a jet wash nearby to remove most of the big stuff on the paint then a quick detailer of some description to remove the rest (usually next to nothing) and impart a good shine. Tyre shine and black trim dressed. And leave.

I have the day off on the 3rd so giving her a full clean inside out, casual drive up to the show with you Stu, then just a quick detail when there. Hopefully the weathers good and the roads are dry, always makes things easier

Try not to just quick detail the car straight down upon arrival of the show because you will only be creating swirl marks for yourself. As above, find a local jet wash first and spray it down, then proceed to quick detail etc. I always use Mad Cow Ultra Violet detailer at shows. Gives an amazing glossy shine to the finish in the wax!!
