You jinxed me

Got to work today and noticed my front drivers side tyre was looking low. On inspection there was a huge screw in the tyre by the shoulder.

Fortunately I have tyre insurance so took it to quick fit and got the tyre replaced with a new tyre as that one wasn't repairable.

Looks like I made a good choice in taking out the tyre insurance.

Filled Walter with rubble from the garden fence project that took most of the weekend - got to the tip - 15 minutes after it closed !
That said given the damage you guys have suffered I'm now wondering about the wisdom of taking him back in the morning :?

Ouch! With the tyre insurance is there an excess?
What's there to stopping you shoving screws into your tyres when they are wearing out for some new ones?

Well the booklet says you are to be charged the 1st £10 of a replacement to cover changing it over. But I have claimed twice and haven't been asked for the money either time...

Well tbh nothings stopping you from doing that. You can claim upto 5 tyres in the 3 year period. They say the tyre must have at least 3mm tread. They will cover upto £50 to repair it and if it can't be repaired then they cover to replace it upto £250 value of a tyre.

But Yeh I guess you could if you wanted to stick a screw in and they wouldn't know any different. But that's naughty :shake: ..

i have a genuine vcds cable that i bought from a member on here. he bought it new from genden.
when you buy the cable new it doesnt come with software. you download the software from the ross tech website for free. but you have to have a genuine cable. once connected to a car it registers the cable .

if you see a cable for sale and it comes with a disc and they say its the software for it. then most likely it is a copy cable and not a genuine one.
genuine cables come with technical support and updates, copy ones dont.
