I looked at the Golf GTE Sport concept pics the other day, instantly pegged it as one of those ridiculous 'Made for Gran Turismo' cars and moved quickly on.
I've been looking again at a few more pics of it today and I'm thinking perhaps VW are hinting at a possible design for a future Scirocco right under our noses.
Strip away the silly doors and some of the side skirts and the shape does seem to flow like a Roc.
I'm looking at -
the wider looking front stance
The wide rear haunches
Slope in the roof line
The rounded shape to the area under the rear window. (A nod to the current Roc?)
I may be completely alone on this and perhaps my mind is morphing the photos into what I want them to be.
It could be that VW are teasing us by hiding a new, albeit over the top design for the Roc in plain sight and seeing what the reaction is to some of the elements on it.

Defo looks like a Scirocco from the future!
Even the fat lip back bumper.
