Less arch gap on an auris

Post by AxG »

My scirocco with standard suspension and 19" wheels has a bigger arch gap than my dad's bog standard auris on 16" wheels.

So depressing

Yeaa the arch gap with my 18s is even more noticeable, absolutely love all the styling of the roc... But that arch gap though..and coming from a lowered A3 it catches my eye a lot...may have to do something about it!

It's mad why they set em so high from factory! Why!? No one wants a truck!
That's what put me off buying one for ages but once they're down they look epic!

Arch to ground distance is the same on my 2012 A6 and standard Scirocco. Only the A6 uses much larger wheels and tyres

Isn't it some daft EU rule to allow clearance for snow chains? Hardly necessary in UK.

Surely not as there's loads of cars and many from the vag group which sit loads lower.?
Maybe you're right though.
No snow chains will be seeing my wheels! Haha

They sit higher than some of the other VAG cars so OAPs can get in and out.

Perhaps it's just me.
But I don't see what the problem is.
It's not like 2-3 foot gap we are talking about.

some people lower the car to the point where it's almost touching the ground. And in my opinion that looks shit.
Each to their own I guess.

I'm doing mine about 30-40mm lower, looks like a discovery at the moment.

Pains me every time I see it
