Rear windscreen washer/jet

Post by Dongers »

OK, last post of the night....

Is the rear washer wipe jet thingy standard?

Yeah, stupid question, I know, but mine isn't working and I'm buggered if I can see where the water comes from...?????

Any clues (or pics) greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Whereabouts does it actually come out though?

Cant see a hole or jet (to check for obstructions/blockages)

The jet it comes out of is located in the wiper spindle. If you look at the trim that clips onto the spindle you will see a big gap. That's where the water comes from.

Wait! i had no clue that the scirocco had a rear windscreen washer. Does that come standard and how do you operate it?

Yes, it's standard and you operate it by pushing the wiper stalk away from you, a little further against the spring, than you do to switch on the rear wiper.

Thanks Cuprabob! Went for a little drive today and tested it out. So happy that its actually got one as my rear windscreen gets very dirty due to due this shitty weather we have.
