Steering wheel Swap

Post by Nosvartu »

Evening guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows if it A possible and B easy to do.

I want to swap over my old crappy 58plate steering wheel to the 2010 one, sick of how much it lets the car down on interior looks. Has anyone done this successfully ? If anyone has done it, how easy was it, or did you take it to a dealer ship.

Thanks Mike.

You need to check part numbers for things like the controller for the steering wheel, the slip ring to check if these need changing and whether you need to change the column switches - later versions are one complete unit. You can get some idea about dismantling the wheel etc by looking at this post from uklee: http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... l+retrofit" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Don't know if this helps, but there's a guy who fits cruise control and other retrofits. Can definitely recommend as he just fit an rns315 to my vehicle so I know his work is very very good. Actually a very nice guy too. http://www.poollretrofits.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
