Re: Lowering
How are you lowering it? Springs, coilovers or air?

Springs mate.. Well I'm more thinking about springs than coilovers as its the cheaper option. What you recon?

Re: Lowering
If you're lowering on springs go for H&R, I've lowered my R on the and it's dropped it a nice amount. The rides a bit rougher on country roads..
The feeling is just like having sport constantly switched on.. normal doesn't make a difference and the sport mode is even firmer!
The springs will fit the Scirocco R and the 2.0tsi.
if you're getting springs order them from DPM Performance, I picked the below ones up for the R for about £150 (haggled with a price match). They came 2 days after ordering!

Re: Lowering
Forgot to mention, these will work fine with the DCC sensors, no need to worry! You can unplug the sensor, fit the spring and then plug it back in.. the load weight should adjust automatically (as advised by VW).

Re: Lowering
They are the ones but for £10 or so difference I would buy from UK supplier in case you get issues. I got mine from Awesome GTi. After the first order from them I was able to get future orders delivered to my work address.

I ordered from H&R springs from: http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-par ... ng-springs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Really good guys and offered me a nice discount, you can inquire on the website for discount and they respond within a couple of minutes. Delivery was only 2 days as well!
Will second Stu's comments on ordering from a UK supplier, you pay for what you get.. I'd personally vote H&R or Eibach!

Re: Lowering
Cheers lads, Ill check them both out and see what they say, was thinking about Eibach, but more people seem to have H&Rs, 35mm enough? will it be ok with a splitter on after lowering, will it scrape most things do you recon?

Re: Lowering
Depending your profile and tyre size it will drop it 1.3 inches, I've got 19" rims with 235 profile and it's theirs about a finger and a few mm gap.
With a splitter a lot of people have reported scraping, it will happen mate!
Someone told me to fit self tappets to secure it so it doesn't come off!

Mine's sitting on H&R (35mm) with 19" wheels 8.5j and 235,35,19 tyres... here's a picture so you get a rough idea on how they will sit:
