Weird sprung lugs on seat runner?

Weird sprung lugs on seat runner?

I noticed this on my car this morning, not sure if its something really to worry about but it annoys me that one is sticking up

Sprung lugs on the runner, one is sticking up, doesn't want to go down wwhatever it is... any ideas what they are?

They are the pins that lock the seat in position. if you pull the seat adjuster you'll see them all lift up. looking at the size of the holes in the runner they're only big enough to take two of the pins, i think there are three just to give finer adjustment on the seat position
