Whining noise at low speeds in particular when reversing

Options: I didnt bought it second hand, might fit a bluetooth module if that counts? :P

Googled it and been through the site, will try and take a recording but in the meantime, anyone had this issue?

no chance you've got the bluetooth audio on but the volume turned right down is there ? i get feedback off it when I'm not playing anything as the engine revs rise aha :rolleyes:

Nope, no Bluetooth installed, I'm struggling to isolate anything in particular that brings it on. Definitely sounds mechanical vs audio.

Is this another clutch assembly fault?!?! There are a few thread on it, and whining sound seems to correlate...

Definitely Straight to the garage! Still fighting VW about this. Make sure you go armed with all the info in the thread I posted

If it's a manual then I am pretty sure the reverse gear doesn't have a synchro so can whine whilst in motion
