2012 model Got rear-ended yesterday and although the tail still opens & closes, the switch is showing tail-open all the time on the MFD.
Does anyone know where the switch is located so I can bypass/fix it until it goes to the body shop?
Where is the tailgate-open switch?

After some investigation - it's in the latch.
As it closes it clicks twice, the second click is the detect.
in my case the dent in the rear meant the latch only went as far as the first click, which meant as well as the MFD continually showing the boot-open indication, also disabled the rear washer and wiper.
The switch is closed when the latch is open, so temporary fix to override it was to cut the wire.
