Hi guys,
I own a 2009 Scirocco 2.0 TSI with a DSG gearbox since August, with 45k miles on the clock. Today, while trying to overtake a car in the highway, I pressed the accelerator pedal and I've heard a hissing sound, something like an air leak when the turbo starts to boost. I can only hear the hissing sound in low revs (somewhere between 1800 and 3000 rpm), then it goes away.. I changed to S and the car performs well, I don't feel any power loss. No lights on as well..
I think I never heard this sound, anyone have any idea what it might be?
Thank you very much.

Re: 2.0 TSI hissing sound
Sounds like the noise a turbo should make lol! If i dropped the back seats down, it allowed more exhaust note in and when flooring my car it used to sound like a jet fighter!!! wsshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Re: 2.0 TSI hissing sound
Alright mate it is just the turbo sucking in air through the air filter that's all
Nothing to worry about

Re: 2.0 TSI hissing sound
I guess I never heard it before because I had the music loud or something.. Also I think that in D, the engine is never working at its full power in those revs, as it shifts down if I push the accelerator hard... I heard it when using Manual mode, that's probably why I never heard it before..
Thanks for the explanation guys.
