I drove for 15 miles with the trip computer showing 'Range 0 miles'. When I finally found an open fuel station, I brimmed the tank. It took 53.7 litres to the first click of the pump and 54.5 litres to the second click. So the computer seems very pessimistic, if the tank really is 55 litres.

I was driving in rural North Wales on a Sunday afternoon. I had to cover 40 miles. When I left home the range was showing as 60 miles. A bit later it showed 65 miles. After about 20 miles of my journey the range showed 50 miles and the fuel warning beeped. Fair enough, I only had 20 miles more to do. Then within 15 miles the range dropped from 50 miles to zero. The first fuel station I passed after that was closed for Sunday. The second one was closed for good. The third was open. I consider myself lucky to have found one open in 15 miles.

Ha sometimes I park up with 20 miles left. Come back to the car at the end of work get in and it says 3 miles haha! Unless someone has been driving the car while I'm away? Then I don't really trust the trip computer :)

Nearly had a crash this morning!
Some lady in a minivan pulled out right in front of me on the roundabout turning right across me!
Thank god for the wide tyres and the big brakes! Bit of screeching tyres and I came to a halt few inches from her car.
She looked at me like what are you doing and then drove away! :grumpy:  :grumpy:

Some people should just be banned!

I changed the spark plugs after a small misfire worry and then looking in the service book and seeing the previous owner hadn't changed them for 3 years, they came out and were in a right state, new ones are in and it's running silky smooth now, better than it has since I bought it!

I can usually fill it up with more than 55 litres... Once I managed to fill it with 61 litres... I fill it up until I can see the petrol up on the tank "entry".. It then goes down and I fill it up a little more, and repeat this until it stays all up there. I thought everyone did this... :D

Anyway, today I fitted some new centre caps on the wheels as I was missing one and the other 3 were already a bit ugly.

Took Walter for his first MOT this morning at Eurocanterbury

Sad to report a failure - happy to report new windscreen wipers rectified the failure and no other issues save an advisory for brake fluid !
Attaboy !

Quick question about tax discs for any gurus out there

Do valid tax disc still have to be displayed until they expire or is it ok to remove them ?

I only ask because the offence is failure to display a valid excise licence not failure to have one ?

No you don't have to display a tax disc anymore as it is all done electronically. I removed the whole holder the other day. Have a look here https://www.gov.uk/government/news/vehicle-tax-changes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Started my winter prep with Walter today by cleaning him thoroughly with some new Car Chem snow foam, a wash down and dry, wheel arch attention with some Autosmart G101 cleaner appropriately diluted which brought them up nicely, a coat of Werkstadt Jett on the paint and IronOut on the wheels followed by a coat of PoorBoys wheel sealer then installed the latest purchase - a stuffed Rock Hopper penguin on the rear seat - seemed appropriate ! Finished off with a quick spray of AF Crystal to make looking out as much of a pleasure as looking at !

Had a lovely drive out in the sunshine but something was definitely missing so I took him back home and got the Bike out for a blast - that cleared the sinuses !

Tax disc holder still very much in place - strangely can't bring myself to take it out - maybe tomorrow !! :)

Very nice! Thats the cleanest looking salsa red roc I have ever seen.

Only thing I dont like is you have removed the rear wiper and it looks weird it not being there. Imo of course.
