Seeking a good VW dealer in London

Post by jayroc »

Hi Guys,
Can anyone please recommend a good VW dealer in London OR a very good garage that knows the Scirocco inside out!
I have been to 3 vw dealers already and I’m not satisfied with the work and the customer care.
Many thanks.

At the moment I don't have confidence in Citygate - NW LONDON and Alanday - London City!!!
I might have to try VW LOOKERS but I have to say I'm not too optimistic.
Easyrider, thanks for the link and suggestion.
RavG99 - who is you local dealer so I can rule them out please???

I think it might be reasonable to conclude that VW CITYGATE are useless!!

Maybe Alan Day is better? Would be interesting to find out which one you recommend as I want to avoid going to Citygate in the future.

i've been to alan day southgate quite a lot. i'd say about 70% of the time they get it sorted. though i've never had a courtesy car and twice turned up at the end of the day to be greeted by the engine management light on or been told they ordered the wrong part and can't retro-fit the old one. would i actually recommend them...?

...probably not.

I'm afraid 70% is unacceptable in this competitive climate!!! We need to continue to look elsewhere!

I've always used Beadles VW Dartford ( Phillip was the gentleman serving me ) When i did my transaction for my Roc they offered the best price for my trade in which was arranged over telephone and the car was one of the cheaper around.

As for quality of vehicle the car is immaculate. The service was Brilliant and nothing was to much trouble.

I'm from the Swansea valleys so travelling past many VW dealers on route.

It's a genuine VW dealer and all cars have a 12 month warranty and a 120 point inspection.

I can vouch for rac london. I've been using them for about three or four years on various Audi/VW cars. Very good service, not the cheapest but worth it for the peace of mind and they use all genuine parts/main dealer diagnostics.

South of London if you are still looking I can recommend many years excellent customer service at VW Garages Colbournes nr.Guildford ask for Mike Payne he's the best and also at VW DriftBridge Garage nr. Epsom where I bought my current Scirocco. VW Driftbridge look after me brilliantly too!
