Hi guys
Just to give you all an update on the ongoing Scirocco Wiper issues.
I gave the car back to the garage last week and they had it for the day, picked it up and the smearing was worse!!
So took it striaght back, they are now going to replace the wiper blades, arms, motor, linkage! To finally sort it. Basically they said a few Sciroccos have this problem. Something about it being over tensioned!
Ill update you all when i get it all done next week!

Re: Scirocco Wiper Issues
Got my Scirroco in Oct last year, had really bad windsceen smear problems from day one.
Read this board and tried all sorts to cure, including polishing the windscreen with Autoglym, stripping any wax off it, cleaning the wiper blades to remove any deposit, etc. Held off dealer visit as it didn't seem to fix other guys problems on this board.
Nothing worked, in desperation took it to the dealers two weeks ago and they changed the blades with no quibbles, instant fix and still good two weeks later. Didnt require any tension adjustment either.
Only apparent difference appears to be blade 'feel', still graphite compound but feels less 'greasy' and a bit more rigid, dont know if VW have actually accepted the problem as being with the blades and fixed it or I just got lucky.
BTW dealer I used in Newport,Gwent.

Re: Scirocco Wiper Issues
My dealer has said there is an issue.
It has been booked in to replace the arms, motor, linkage, blades basically everything!!
So that better fix it! Push your dealers more
