My personal thoughts are the height from the arch to the tyres is massive and makes the car look like its on stilts , they sit very high already on interlagos i think???
Obviously a lowering kit would compensate but they do look on the small side to me
A mis-specced Scirocco?

Ahem... I do see the obvious now Must have been a bit too focused on the ride height, as I find mine pointing a bit far from the body as well.

I love British humour lol.....Evil Derboy wrote:They're an inch smaller. So hardly any difference at all. That is unless you don't have a lot of inches to start with, in which case maybe it's a big deal.MancDave wrote:My personal thoughts are the height from the arch to the tyres is massive and makes the car look like its on stilts , they sit very high already on interlagos i think???

Some of us have more inches to play with than others I guess...
Seriously though, my own opinion is that I'm not that fussed about the Interlagos. Too many other cars will have them as they're the only choice available on the GT. So I'll stick with the 17"s until the car needs new tyres then I'll put something more sexy on there.
Strangely though 17" to 18" seems to be a massive difference ive always thought that but say 16" to 17" not that much , saying that i am from manchester and i must understand 1" IS JUST THAT 1"

Re: A mis-specced Scirocco?
I can count on one hand the number of Sciroccos I've seen since Christmas. So it's nice to know they are still really rare. All of them though had the standard 18" Interlagos wheels so I am even more pleased I went for one of these "pack" Sciroccos with the 17" Spa alloys.
I'm leasing my car and signed up to it unseen so I was worried I'd get the Donnington wheels but that wasn't the case. I had test driven one before Christmas but got mine online through a broker. I'm saving £1400 and I'm getting a rare version of a rare car all for the price of slightly smaller wheels.
If you haven't signed up for one yet, sotonjoe, get yourself down to your local VW dealer ASAP!
