It's been a while and car looking dirty, so cleaned wheels, then rinsed, citrus pre-washed car, then rinsed, then washed & dried car, applied tyre dressing, then hoovered interior, wiped interior surfaces and brushed mats.

Updated the firmware on the new RNS I have installed in my car (v2840 - v3810); uploaded the new v10 maps; got the speed camera POIs off the internet and included those too!! Really pleased, love the RNS510 unit :)))

If you are under warranty, talk to VW.

IF not, you can check it using VCDS. (Do a scan of the Navigation/Radio module and check the HW/SW numbers)

If not, you can take the unit out and check the sticker on it.

My advice - Do not upgrade the firmware if nothing is wrong with the unit... You know, if it aint broke, dont fix it ;)

i love the idea of removing the rear wiper, but can't resist using it to give people behind me a little 'wave' sometimes!

I did something i never want to do again in a hurry. Today with lots of help from my brother we fitted Eibach Pro springs a total nightmare, we are use to Vauxhalls so VW is a totaly different setup, we got there in the end though.
Also trial fitted a white stripe to the lower grill, can`t make my mind up on it though!

Strip looks good although part of me thinks the red gti look is better suited.

Whipped the white stripe off as it was bugging me, was too white compared to the body of the car so I'll be ordering a red stripe to see how that looks.

Also got my wheel alignment sorted of yesterday's Eibach fitting, surprised how much it was out!

Did my routine VCDS scan and cleared up a few non-priority errors that came about due to the RNS install. Hate driving around with errors on the system - OCD.
turned off my cornering lights via fog, and also the headlight activation at certain motorway speeds (I find it annoying)
