Dirty Rocco

Post by JohnsonAsco »

After clocking 500 miles in four days my scirocco is looking a bit dirty.
I'm thinking about buying this http://www.autoglym.com/products/produc ... -interiors" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; what do you lot recon? What else will I need after I've got that, or any other recommendations?

Cheers

Patrick.

I'd highly recommend a good quality clay bar, and maybe decontamination products such as iron x. For Candy White I've seen for the best results many people use the Werkstat acrylic kit, I've used it myself and have to say it is amazing, very high gloss, and reflectivity and on a metallic mid tone like my Indium grey gives fantastic results. It's probably not as hood value as the autoglym kit you posted, but a much more specialised product. Maybe have a look at this site http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it has lots of very good advice and plenty of good hands on descriptions of products.

Rather worrying that the AG kit shows a sponge rather than a wash mitt..... swirls await!

Some iron out or iron x fallout remover. Tardis or obliterate ( tar remover) .either a car wax or sealent. I prefer sealent being auto finesse tough coat.

I have a good bundle of detailing products for sale ;)

I've ordered a wash mitt, snow foam, iron out and obliterate from auto finesse which should be at my neighbours house for me when I get home! The next thing I might by is a clay bar and wax or sealant! I've ordered a karcher as well :yummy:

Super Resin Polish is good stuff but I wouldn't bother with the rest. Good wash mitt and shampoo to get you going. Once you start you won't stop though....

With a CW car you will need the other products as the tar and iron contamination will soon show up on that colour....

id use products from somewhere like zaino mate. you'll really see and feel the difference compared to autoglym products.
