Rcd 510 running by it self until battery is dead

As the topic says am having a wierd problem with my stereo or atleast it would seem


It all began with the car alarm when the car was new.
The alarm could go off just by a windbreese or someone Walking by. After the alarm have gone on for awhile the car would lock it self again and put on the stereo. It was like the car needed attention or having
A party by it self .

vw then lowered the car alarm. But the problem i still had was that the Music was on sometimes when i left the car off and alarmed for awhile . SO again i would find the car pumping Music by it self. I thought it first abit normal but then ..it became more and more frequently ..And yesterday the battery Went stone Cold becouse the stereo took it all .

Problem is now that the warrenty is gone but they got all info in the database becouse i had several problems when the warranty was still Active .

Any idea what it could be stereo 510+dynaudio .helpful advices are appriated

Normally the radio should shut off after about 20 minutes when the ignition is turned off. However yours isn't acting normally so I don't know.
As regards the warranty - as this seems to be a pre-existing problem that wasn't properly sorted out under warranty then you will probably be able to get your main dealer to persuade VW to cover it, especially if you have had all your serving done at a VW dealership.

y that never happend it appeared to be something with the ignition so they switched that part out problem is now solved

Quite a lot of these sorts of problems seem to be linked to the ignition switch.

y they thought so first and switched that out . Thoe now it happend again so a new stereo will be fit in .shipped from germany hq
