watching music videos on screen?

Post by fonnas »

Hi guys,

I have unlocked my Nav system in my rocco in order to watch DVDs while driving.

I have a some music videos that are under mp4 format that I would like to burn on a DVD and watch in the car. I tried burning them all on one DVD as drag and drop files however the disc would not read?

Is there a specific way I need to burn them? I have a MAC, let me know if there is a software I need to use or a specific way these mp4 files should be burned to have the Nav system read the disc.

Thank you peeps!

Sounds like you made a data disc as opposed to a DVD. You need to use something like Roxio, Nero or windows Movie maker even. I don't know if the RNS system will play dvd-/+r or rw though, someone more informed will let you know this.

I will answer myself I guess after a few trials and errors.

Burning videos on a DVD-R CD under MPEG-2 format which is the only compatible format for the RNS510 to read will not be sufficient. RNS 510 still gave me ERROR MSG

If we are trying to put together a series of video clips to loop playing while driving, these videos need to be created in a DVD software. I personally used iDVD on my MacBook and created a DVD that fits 18 video clips on a DVD-R CD with 4.7 GB of space. DVD inserted in RNS 510, RNS 510 recognized CD as DVD and started playing.

Cheers to all. Let me know if you need some assistance.

Try using Toast Titanium, i think it has built in feature for that.

I use imovie to join the videos and create the chapters, then i send it to iDVD. But its a little time consuming.
