Fuel Gauge stuck

Post by drfez »

Hi guys...still fairly new to VW business having traded my 350z in recently..
Of course i've had it for 2 weeks and already few issues are rearing their head, namely the 'dieseling' noise on a cold start and lights issues but had another odd one today..
When i filled to the brim (so i thought) my fuel gauge got stuck at where it was before, i.e as it had never registered the new fuel.
On fuelling before it went straight to full side on switching the engine back on.

The only thing i can think of is that i had left the key in the ignition as the missus wanted the radio on...could this be the culprit?
Just wondering if anyone has come across this and if so...is this something i should be worried about - and get sorted as car so new (to me) or will it just readujst?
(tis a 122 ti btw - 60 reg)

Cheers guys

It can sometimes take a few mins to register new fuel uplifts on the guage. I had it with my old 122PS Golf 6.

I have had it in the past, but usually when not filling up to the brim, but it usually goes up after a few minutes. Assuming it is a new car, inform the dealers and drop it in for a warranty check.
I can rely on my car, it's my Roc!!!
