Re: Fuel efficient......
Well after a couple of months of having my 2.0 GT Tsi I'm averaging 32mpg with the performance unleaded. This is with a 20 minute daily commute which is half stop/start traffic lights in town and half national speed limit dual-carriageway. About right I guess as my old Civic 1.8 got about 38mpg under the same conditions - both about 6mpg under the manufacturer's figures. Driving is sensible mostly, dual-carriageway at around 80mph usually and most days have one or two foot down overtake moments...
Re: Fuel efficient......
So, just arrived down in the South of France in the Roc - me and 3 passengers, 2 very heavy bags in the back and I averaged 45mpg at 85/90 all the way including 2 long stints in stop/start traffic.
So, not too bad I thought given the AC was working overtime to keep us cool as it 35 degrees outside whilst travelling at speed and I like a cool cabin (19/20 degrees)- mind you my girls were sat in the back with coats on!! Lol

I've managed 52mpg from my 2.0TSi. But it can be annoying when trucks are overtaking you :/
