RCD 510 security coding

I've just removed my head unit rcd 510 and its lost its security code. Is there anyway of getting the code without have to go to vw. No codes in any of my documentation grrrrr

Panic over. After 10mins it managed to remember the code :-)

Options: multifunction steering wheel, fogs, 18" alloys; DAB; XDS activated, DRLs reset, lock beep activated; indicator repeat set to 4; covered cup holder, rear seat 12v socket installed. metal pedals, 210 Golf GTi also in the stable. Scirocco gone - miss it. Polo GTI now.

Radios are matched to individual cars so should not need the code unless moving to a different vehicle as you have discovered. :)
