Miles per tank
Miles per tank
Ive done a search and although there are a few threads about MPG i find it more relevant to post miles per tank so what are you all getting? Im getting 650 to a tank in my 140TDI, not bad but im sure it could be better.

Re: Miles per tank
about 350 but about 60% of my driving would be on B roads and the rest on A roads rarely on motorways or dual carriageways
Re: Miles per tank
I can get 650 at a real stretch.

Re: Miles per tank
I can only dream of that kind of MPG! Getting around 350 to the tank like the other petrol heads doing mostly short journeys on B roads.

Yup - about 350 average, I think I did get to 400 one time but was pretty much running on fumes!

Re: Miles per tank
Hmm, 650 Miles on a tank in a ROC. I am far more impressed by those that get 350, and if you can get it down to 250 I would be even more impressed. Why would you be looking for economy and drive a ROC?Bushiee wrote:Ive done a search and although there are a few threads about MPG i find it more relevant to post miles per tank so what are you all getting? Re: Miles per tank
I get roughly 330 to 370 a tank but in a commute to work I have a 54 mile drive, it's motorway for 35 miles then the rest a country road if I don't toe it then I can get 42 mpg .
Re: Miles per tank
Good point! I loved my Tsi but as i drive a 50mph all the way to work stuck behind traffic 25 miles each way i couldnt use the engine 90% of the time i was in it, so gone for an oil burner but i do miss that noise, power and experience!asthecrowflys wrote:Hmm, 650 Miles on a tank in a ROC. Re: Miles per tank
Bloody hell, i'm getting nothing like those figures on my TDI. Typically get about 450-500 miles, and that's about 45-47 litres (aout 45mpg ish).
To be fair, my weekly journey is typically mostly urben during the week, and also mine is a DSG which I think is thirstier than the manual, but overall its the only real thing thats disapointed me on the Roc is the mpg. My old MK5 Golf with the PD engine used to match or even beat the Roc , and that had none of the bluemotion technology stuff, although it was a manual.

Re: Miles per tank
Typically, I get 480 - 520 miles.
Mostly A Roads and Motorways cruising at 85 - amazing how it drops if you head North of 70mph.
Certainly not as good as I hoped but a lot better than my RR which averaged 20mpg!

Re: Miles per tank
I get around 400 miles per tank if I do mostly motorway driving. Can sometimes get 400+ in warm weather!
Winter is the killer with a/c on and freezing conditions. Then it's 350-370 (ish).
One thing of note: My Scirocco's mpg has slowly gone down over the years. Not massively but noticeable nonetheless.

Re: Miles per tank
Only had the car a few weeks but first tankful was 398, second 408 and third looks to be 420+. Mainly drive A roads but have thrashed it down some nice backroads too. Actually really impressed with the economy, did worry about that before picking it up

Re: Miles per tank
I've been getting around 410 per tank driving to work on A and B roads but as its getting warmer and changed to shell V power have got around 450 from last 2 tanks. Very happy as was only getting 540 from my previous golf GT TDI 140 hp on similar runs. These figures do include some intermittent fun on some back roads. I love the car and often wonder what the R would be like !!
Re: Miles per tank
Wow that is good for a TSi is it a 200 or 210ps engine?panasonicman wrote:I've been getting around 410 per tank driving to work on A and B roads but as its getting warmer and changed to shell V power have got around 450 from last 2 tanks.
