You need to provide a lot more info for us to help.... age of car, is the Bluetooth unit VW factory unit (mounted under drivers seat) or an after-market set? If its VW which version (the earlier rsap units hardly work with anything)?

Has it worked before and if so with what phone worked with it?

Mark

2009 2.0 tsi with factory fitted Bluetooth module. I have had a Blackberry 9810 working with no problems but unable to connect an iPhone or S3. Unit model number is 5N0 035 730 B. I presume the BB z10 uses a different version as the iPhone just fails to connect. The z10 is found by my existing module but gives a message saying the phone is not compatible

Cheers

eBay might be a cheaper source. Worth having a look before you try dealers

Very good advice! Have good search around on ebay before you even think about contacting a dealer! I have not purchased one but I hear they go for £80 to £100 - but a lot more if you buy from the dealer.... good luck!

I have managed to get my S3 connected which works fine. All I did was disconnect and reconnect the connections and tried the S3 again and all worked fine so I now divert my Z10 through my S3. The real bonus is my company will pay 2 thirds of the cost of a replacement Bluetooth module so it will work out cheaper than getting one from EBay.
