Rear-left brake sticking

Post by Shorum »

As the title says, my rear left brake is sticking. Does anyone know if there's a DIY job I can do in it, or do I need to take it to the thievers?

Thanks in advance!

Its pretty straight forward. Recomended to push all four calipers as I found one sticking 6 months ago and did the other three to get some more improvement. Been much better since.

The fronts are straight push, rear are a turned caliper, so will need a dog tooth engagement plate. When you back the calipers in, open the bled nipple to reduce pressure on the ABS valves.

Thanks for this.

When you say push, do you mean literally? Also, what exactly is a dogtooth engagement plate?

I thought I was quite good at this kind of thing, but I guess I've gotten way out of practice since the days of my old split screen van!

Yes, that's great - thanks!

Next question is, where can I get a calliper tool?!
