Glow plug warning light.

Post by mathcalv »

Hi last week when I was driving home from work in my 2.0 140 tdi and I had a warning Glow plug light flashing with Internal Engine fault on MFD and car went in to limp mode.
Since had the car checked on VagCom but did not show any faults or codes to do with the engine.
Car drives normal and I still have turbo boost only happens when accelerating over 3500rpm the power suddendly cuts out and warning lights come on but when the car switched off and on the fault clears and all seems normal again.
My feeling is it could be a boost leak in a one of the pipes pipe during harder acceleration when higher in the rev range, but im no genius when it comes to mechanical parts.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated at I am stumped on what is causing this to happen.
