Picked up my scirocco R candy white from VW West London,
I love the car just noticed that when I put my foot down the wheels spin,
I thought it was the 265bhp through the front wheels, but I checked the tires and there very close to the ware markers!
If I take it back will they look at them and replace them didn't really expect to spend £25k plus on a car and it need new tires in a month or so!
The cars only done 8900 miles so I guess the ones fitted are the factory ones,
If I so not get my way and they don't replace them what am I looking at for new tires?
Thanks

Usually sold as seen mate. To be fair, tyres are something that you should check before buying any car.

Thanks from the reply mate,
But they give me 30 days to swap the car for another one so surely if I say I wanna swap for another it would be easier for them to just put 2 new tires on it?
Do you know how much they will be for me to replace there the 19"

Worth a shot mate and i can see your reasoning behind them changing them for you, good luck. I'm sorry can't help you with the cost of tyres, though try camskills on-line, they're supposedly very keenly priced. I've heard good reviews of the Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2.

I thought a main dealer supplied car would have a minimum depth (4mm rings a bell) and be checked as part of there pre sale inspection.
Could be worth asking to see their pre delivery checklist.

Certainly in respect of wearing items with tyres at the top of the list - not helped by the fact that you have had the car over a month now I'm afraid. Still worth asking though...00HVB wrote:Usually sold as seen mate. To be fair, tyres are something that you should check before buying any car.
The previous keeper obviously 'enjoyed' the R!

Just a quick update,
I went to the local tire shop they looked at the tires saying that the tires have around a month left on them so,
I sent a email to the salesman and the Brand manager,
they just called and asked me to pop down there tonight so fingers crossed they will change them.
