Poor Head lights

Post by **Topher** »

Has any body commented in this forum regards poor head lights.
I have owned two Sciroccos and noticed that my new model head lights give a dim orange hew and don't penetrate much distance down the road even when set high on the adjustment. A work colleague has a golf and reports the same. Both cars are blue motion and was wondering if this was a power saving feature by fitting low energy bulbs.

You have to drive them at least an hour for the bulbs to warm up

I asked the Dealer to check the alignment on mine at the first service, but they were no better. I upgraded the bulbs and they were still no good, so I checked the alignment myself with the beam setter at work. I couldn't believe how low they were! needless to say they are good now. I would suggest you ask/ insist your Dealer checks the alignment for you.
