Bluetooth compatibility
Just collected a pre reg Scirocco Tsi this evening with RNS510 satnav and bluetooth. Where can I find a list of compatable phones as my Samsung Omina7 won't pair with it.

Re: Bluetooth compatibility
Thanks, that's a huge disappointment, we all have Windows phones, Samsung Omina 7, Nokia Lumia and it looks like none are compatible with the system and I don't really want an iphone

Re: Bluetooth compatibility
Looking on the net and forums it appears that the phones we have Samsung Omina 7 and Nokia Lumia don't support rSAP.
Is it possible to change the bluetooth module so that these phones will work, and if so how much am I looking at?

Re: Bluetooth compatibility
I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to be rSAP, that was an issue with earlier bluetooth modules. My car is a MY12 and I've connected both my Android Sony phones without any issue. Those are not sSAP and are connected as HPP profile. Also allows streaming of audio over A2DP.

Yeah unless it was a 2009 model it should really work, the rsap box was on that age of vehicle,i havent found a phone that doesnt work so far and have tested a few. What is it saying when you try to pair it?

Re: Bluetooth compatibility
It says incompatible phone, the phones are Windows 7.5 phones I think that has something to do with it, the phones do not use rSap

Re: Bluetooth compatibility
I don't think any phones use rSAP these days. It was only used on a handful of Nokias a few years back, hence why all the issues circa. 2009.tony4147 wrote:It says incompatible phone, the phones are Windows 7.5 phones I think that has something to do with it, the phones do not use rSap

Reading a few forums it looks like windows phone 7 or later wont pair, just my luck. Are iphone 4, 4s and 5 compatible?

Not sure about iPhone 5 but 4 and 4s certainly are.tony4147 wrote:Reading a few forums it looks like windows phone 7 or later wont pair, just my luck. Are iphone 4, 4s and 5 compatible?
It may be worth contacting VW Customer Services and see if they plan a firmware update to support the lastest phones in the near future before jumping to the dark side.
