New Model

Post by Dan Fitz »

Afternoon All,

Been reading lots of different articles and topics on this Forum and others and there was talk as of week 22 there would be different changes to the display from red to White like the Passat CC, and also there would be more options like keyless entry, adaptive cruise control etc.. and more standards such as the aluminium pedals and sill, was wondering if any one could confirm this or is it rubbish.

Would like to know as thinking of buying the FISCON bluetooth kit for the car and there are 2 options depending on the computer display.

So all confused at the moment

Argh! - If this is true, I'm gutted I just ordered today!! These rumours could well make sense, since any factory orders placed now will not be available for 18-22 weeks and yet there are plenty of cars lying around in stock!

Supposedly the VW dealers are informed of the changes for the new model year around week 17, that's from 20th April, we're only guessing til then

That's a bit of a downer for the early adopters.

Just posted this on a different thread, and I have a feeling this may be backing up the fact that there is a new model.

I really wouldnt worry about differences in trim and equipment for those of us that have already got the 'roc. It was always going to happen that they make year on year changes. You can't control whats going to happen. Just go and enjoy it!!!!!!!!

I agree with bungle - these things will always happen if I'd waited for a "revision", then I'd say should have waited for the next one etc etc I end up waiting and waiting - no regrets here!

Yeah, its a bit like deciding when to buy a new computer - there's always a newer model just over the horizon.
Personally I wouldn't thank you for ally pedals - lethal when wet
Key-less entry -

The norwegian VW importer has confirmed that the 2010 modells (build week after w22) will have the following changes:
-DAB-antenna will be inn side window
-New steering wheel from Golf VI GTI
-New instruments from Golf VI

The climatronic from Golf VI will not be launched in Scirocco for now.

Though I guess there will be other additions as well I won't lose any sleep over not having anything on that list.
The new steering wheel and dash don't really do it for me.
Would have been nice to have the Mk VI climatronic though.

Actually come to think of it a concealed aerial would have seen me opt for DAB.

I've been given build week 22 for my Scirocco - so if the rumours are true it could go either way.
I'm not that bothered that much about a few minor changes ...... I JUST WANT TO GET BEHIND THE WHEEL !!
