Will have to see if the light stops flashing now over the next few days...
In order to change the springs you have to remove they whole strut which means the ARB needs to be removed from the strut end at least.
This means the fitters might and probably are at fault.

Glad you found something. Its not necessary to disconnect the ARB to do the springs but they may have thought they need to for some reason. The suspension Control Arm (wishbone) would have been giving odd position/acceleration readings from its Level "Angle" Sensor input (green hoop) with the ARB being loose.

You may need to clear the fault codes that have been generated before the flashing indication stops.
Also the ACC system may have to be set-up with springs/shocks change with Basic Setting in VCDS which may be why its flashing if cleared Fault Codes don't clear the indication. Its not normal to do but with a loose ARB.

That needs diagnostics on it with VCDS to understand this one.
Its not the exact fit to your description yet similar. VCDS would confirm. You might take note of this......
maq wrote:Just to add to this thread, I've also had the ACC switch flashing issue over recent weeks. Took it to the dealer today who said its a known software bug, so its been flashed with a firmware update so will see how it goes...
Applicable upto around Wk47 build 2010.
