Hi,
I have just purchased by first Scirocco today and will picking it up this Thursday. Unfortunately the dealer no longer has the cable for this vehicle.
Is this the cable I need for my Ipod/Iphone 4s to make it work so it appeaers on the media system

Yes that's the right cable but it should come free with the car.
If it's a second hand new, have you asked the parts dept if they have it in stock? Or try calling another dealership nearby.

Its a used vehicle and isn't from a VW dealership so when I asked about it they simple said it didn't come with the car when they received it therefore id have to purchase my own from elsewhere.

When they first came out the cable was only about a fiver from the VW parts dept for people who hadn't got one. Try giving your nearest VW dealer a bell.
