Post by ibiza_1.4tdi »

Ive just brought a scirocco 2.0t its a 2009 09 how do i find out if its the new engine tsi or the old one tfsi, the engine bay and the boot say tsi. Secondly more importantly what wheels clear the brakes on the front of the car as i want a cheap wheel/tyre to use over the winter i was thinking of getting the 16" steel wheels off a mk5 golf will these work? Thanks in advance

On the boot sticker the engine code is either CAW for the 200PS or CCZ for the 210PS. Both are TSi.

16" wheels fit but golf ones might not as they have a much higher offset (around 50 compared to the rocs 41) I believe.

Both Chain.

Three Service levels (12 months interval type):
Year one: oil & filter. OIl is 502/504 spec.
Year two: oil & filter plus pollen filter.
Year three oil & filter plus brake fluid plus MoT

Then:
Spark Plugs are at 4 year or 40k miles
VW Air Filter at 6 years or 40K miles
Dust & Pollen every 2 years
Brake Fluid every 2 years
Fuel Filter N/A but same as others I would do at 60K miles.

DSG Gear Oil filter and change gear oil every 40K miles.

AirCon is your choice, not a service item per say but if you are smart, Inchape dealer chain offers the 3 rd year brake fluid change and aircon replenish - check for £99 all in, which works out about £25 for the Aircon.
