After a 5 month wait I finally got the phone call from the dealer this morning, the car is on its way to the showroom :nod:

I just need to pop in this morning and take in my documents for the free insurance and it's all done. I'll get the front windows tinted whilst it's in the showroom, not in a chavy way but it's a must have here in Dubai, the temps are currently around 50'C so black leather and those temps would be painful to say the least!

So my very first brand new car and it's a Rising Blue Scirocco R, I'll get some picture posted up later.

Hi Alanr, yes, quite a bit cheaper, this is fully spec'd with just about all the options ticked and it's a shade over £24K so a pretty good deal, especially as it comes with 5 year warranty, 3 years free service, 1 years insurance and a years breakdown cover.

Anyway, I rejected the car, a kerbed alloy wheel, the rear right arch liner sat on the wheel and covered in3" of dust and sand did not in any way resemble a brand new car!

They are sorting the issues and fitting the tints plus paint protection as a sweetener, should have it 2 days time.

Not knowing much about Dubai, is there unlimited speed zones?

No unlimited speed within the city of dubai. Some roads have a speed limit of 140km/h and thats it.

All sorted now thanks guys, had the car a few weeks but been keeping under 4000rpm for the first 1000kms to run her in so not really had any fun yet.
I've received my Bilstein coilovers from the UK so those will be getting fitted this week hopefully as it sits way too high as standard.
