RCD510 - Radio Code

Post by Simebaby »

Hi All
I've recently replaced the RCD510 in my Roc with the RNS510. I'd like to sell the RCD but I've gone through the documentation that came with the car (bought from a main dealer) and there's no code.
I know that if I plug the unit back into my car I won't need the code - is there any way I can re-install the radio and get the code via VCDS? Or do I need to get the dealer to do it?
Many thanks
Si.

The dealer can look it up if it came with the car as factory install.

Your dealer "should" do it for free.

I made sure I got mine when I collected my car to save the potential hassle going back, if needed, to get the code and then for the dealer to say that is X pounds please. They did turn their noses up when I told them I wanted it, buttold them my car, my radio and my money, so my code please.
I can rely on my car, it's my Roc!!!
