Scirocco gone in for check up

Post by candyboytsi210 »

Hey guys,

So just dropped of my Scirocco just to have a health check if you could call it that, to see if everythings ok.
Can't believe they wouldn't even give me a courtesy car for the day (im 19), i can buy a Rocco but not have a courtesy car  . Shocking to me.

Anyway my sister was aloud to have it on her license , and they gave a flamin 'Fox' :eyepop: :grumpy:

In the past a few friends have recieved pretty much the best courtesy car they get. I mean i am a owner of a Scirocco, it's not like im coming from a polo or something ? some of you may disagree..

Life goes on

Don't take it personally, I'm almost twice your age and got a Fox when mine was in for a service. That's what the dealership use as courtesy cars so it was a case of take it or leave it.

For the sake of a few hours if wasnt too bad, better than the bus home!

I asked for an equivalent car to mine when it went in for Cruise to be fitted, and they gave me a brand new golf. Cant complain, but they had about three weeks notice to get it sorted.

Yes, I have never been offered anything better than a Golf Plus, it's normally a base Polo.

A Fox - consider yourself lucky - I got a 3 cylinder Polo when mine last went for a service - probably the worst modern car I have driven.

Yonks ago when I had a Passat Sport 1.8T I had a Skoda Something as a "courtesy" car which had a small non-turbo diesel engine, absolutely no toys, no electric anything and was down to 3rd gear on motorway "hills" to keep moving. It was way way beyond appalling. Suffice to say I never used that dealer again! I literally threw the keys back at them in absolute disgust and had a rant about what they thought of their customers.

I got to drive a 1.2 Polo which was the equivalent of driving a very slow bouncy castle.

I got given an EOS 2.0l DSG. Looked like a prat driving that, but by the sounds of it beats a polo or a fox! lol

I had similar experience with the TT. They tried to fob me of with a polo, then strangely a focus.

I said look your going to my car for a week due to an issue I didn't cause, I expect to drive something of them same value.

Next day they collected my car, paid for a taxi to work as my replacement was "arriving shortly" and delivered a top of the range A6 in my works car park I didn't want to give it back, especially as it was nicer than my bosses! oh and at the time I was 21 they weren't bothered in the slightest.

my local VW dealer has a fleet of Polo 1.2's as their courtesy cars (guessing if you have a Phaeton or Touareg they wouldn't give a Polo though)
