Talk about general things related to the new VW Scirocco in here.

Was their ever a solution to this?
Mine worked fine for the first 2 months (59 plate) now this week they seems to be getting stuck.
I always had the problem of if i did it to quick i had to flip the switch back which worked straight away.
But now i sometimes have to flick it backwards and forwards 4 or 5 times for them to come out!!
There must be a software update for this from VW?

Bump :) anyone?
Still get this on the odd occasion. Not Great if you are late and have to wait 5 mins for the wing mirrors to wake up!

This is a software issue, on my old mk5 gti it was so bad that even after a sw update, vw refunded me the cost of the option. In reality I suspect the transient signal from the switch is missed by the sw and hence the mirrors don't move. The masses of permutations mean that tracking on scenario and fixing it isn't top of vw's list. As said above waiting a second for the systems to be up and running before trying generally solves it.
