A-CLASS CONCEPT VS IROC CONCEPT

Post by Avi »

The new Mercedes A-Class Concept was on show at the Johannesburg Motor Show. Looking at it, I noticed how similar in design it is to the Scirocco Concept car.
Scary... :eyepop: Like looking at the next Scirocco... hehehe..
What do u guys think?

When I seen it, I thought exactly the same thing.

It's doing a tour of MB dealerships and large shopping centres so it can be seen in the flesh

Wouldn't mind seeing it up close and some spec sheets, but if it does look as bland as: http://www.eurocarblog.com/post/4336/ne ... ass-leaked" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - then no thanks. The concept looks nice.

@ Ryy. Had a look at production images.... how bland is that design!!... nowhere near the concept designs.
At least Scirocco kept most of the concept design...
I will be sticking to my Scirocco... :)

Those leaked images of the all new A-class remind me of a blend of two cars; BMW 1 Series (side profile) + Seat Ibiza (crease lines)

Avi

Mercedes should have been brave enough to push through the A-class concept car as closely as possible. Instead they'll serve up a watered down version so as not to shock anybody. Missed opportunity as the concept looks spot on.

Pretty much bang on there. With the comparisons.

I think the front of the concept just looks awesome. It makes that car. Defo a missed trick. Too many concepts aren't made. Dodge Copperhead is one too :(

It's been snapped filming the promo ad. Looks a bit better in the flesh, plus the brochures and ads cars are always specced to the hilt with nice big wheels and LED lights etc.
