Whats happening!! All of a sudden there is a glut of Sciroccos on the road! I'm sure thats its no coincidence that there are 3 dealers within 20 miles of where I live, but I have seen 2 more this morning just popping to the local Asda! As long as the looks from people are 'WOW look at' that I dont mind but its weired seeing quite a few on the road! :eyepop:
No Scirocco now - Just a black '57 Plate Black Jetta!

It must be where you are I have had mine for six months and have only seen three up here in Scotland. I drove to Nottingham and back last weekend and I only saw one

I hadn't seen any until two weeks ago, then in the last week I've seen about 7! I do alot of miles tho, but it's a bit annoying :shrug: There will be one more on Monday :clap:

I have so far seen only 3 and all of them where demo models from the dealers, not seen anyone else yet. But still have to wait for 3 months for mine :(

Was at my supplying dealers on friday and in their compound they had 4 Brand new cars, 3 rising blue (common colour.....lol) and a grey/graphite one. They also still have their original 08 demo and the viper green one that was discussed on here some time ago. I asked if the 4 new cars were customer orders but was told they were VW stock, discounts a plenty me thinks.
Also seeing more on the roads, perhaps as many as 2 per week now.
Taken delivery : Silver, DSG, NAV, Black Leather, Park Sensors, Winter pack.

Mods: Full Milltek, KW lowering springs,Wheel Spacers, Remapped to 258BHP, 405Nm

i think people are getting carried away, yeah we own beautiful new cars but at the end of the day it is a VW; producer of a number of common cars/taxis/sales rep cars such as golfs and passats so lets all calm down and realise we are driving cars that start at £18k and not ferraris!

I live in leeds and do a quite a few miles! Had mine since march, only seen 4 other roc's! Yeah they're not Ferrari's, but its nice to think they're a bit more exotic and a bit more rare than the average passat! Doesn't stop people from pointing at it everyday!! :)

i was one of the first people in nottingham with a new mini.. for the first few weeks it was just amazing. thumbs up from dodgy looking kids, nods of approval from people in cars costing 5 times the price, and best of all were the constant groups of people crowded around and staring at it while it was parked outside my house (which was just by the football ground - so a plentiful supply of curious folk came by).

it was fun while it lasted, but soon enough people got used to seeing them... and then the car (quite rightfully) became a massive seller. my mini is not special to anyone else.. but i still get that buzz when i look at it. maybe i'll still have and love my scirocco like that in eight years.. who knows. but i guess there'll be enough on the roads by the time i get hold of mine for me to miss out on the celebrity factor this time.
